Carlisle, PA – Now in its third decade of doing good for those impacted by Amyloidosis, the Chip Miller Amyloidosis Foundation (CMAF) works year-round to raise awareness and funds to support research, education, and individuals in need. In 2025, the foundation continued those efforts through fundraising dinners, merchandise sales and auctions, general donations, and a Corvette sweepstakes. As funds are raised, the foundation actively works to identify where those dollars will have the greatest impact when it’s time to give back.

With the final days of 2025 behind us and the curtain rising on 2026, the CMAF is proud to share that $160,000 will be gifted to five outstanding organizations. This includes $35,000 to the Mayo Clinic, $35,000 to the Amyloidosis Research Consortium (ARC), $35,000 to Amyloidosis Support Groups, $30,000 to the Amyloidosis Foundation, and $25,000 to Penn Medicine.

In addition to supporting these incredible organizations, CMAF is earmarking an additional $10,000 to invest in the future of the automotive hobby. These funds will go directly to the Chip Miller Memorial Scholarship Fund, where each recipient will receive $1,000 to support their pursuit of a career in the automotive industry.

“My father was my best friend and mentor,” quipped CMAF President Lance Miller. “Watching him lose his life to this terrible disease (Amyloidosis) was horrifying for my family and me,” continued Miller. “We knew he’d prefer his life celebrated rather than mourned, and the foundation carries his name proudly. We know the donations made are making him smile from above,” added Miller. “Most of all, I’d like to thank the board members and all the supporters for making 2025 a major success for the CMAF. As my father would often say, “Life is Good!”

To learn more about the automotive scholarship program, visit ChipMiller.org. The submission portal is open through April 30, 2026. Criteria for consideration include ambition, drive, and passion for the automotive hobby. Candidates may submit their applications and personal stories to CMAF through the website.

At least 25 individual $1,000 scholarships will be awarded on June 1, 2026, with the potential for additional awards should further donations be received. To learn more about the scholarship fund or to make a donation, please email Jodi Morrison at JodiM@CarlisleEvents.com. Finally, to support the CMAF in 2026 and beyond, visit ChipMiller.org. There, you’ll be able to easily enter our annual Corvette Sweepstakes (awarded October 3), apply for scholarship consideration, and once available, enter to win yet another Corvette via the CMAF and Lancaster County Corvette Club (awarded August 29).

CARLISLE, PA – The 11th annual Corvettes for Chip event, October 27, 2019 at the Carlisle Expo Center, took place on a new date this year, but offered many of the same great features as years past. One unwelcomed element was…the elements. Mother Nature offered a little rain to start the day, but luckily for the Corvette owners and Chip Miller Amyloidosis Foundation supporters on-site, the sun was shining by mid-day. This “two seasons in one day” concept helped transition a dreary morning into a special event overall.

Regardless of weather, those who attended either as a spectator or were showing a Corvette did so to support the CMAF and Amyloidosis awareness. Their positive outlook helped raise $8,500 for the CMAF, a total that was more than last year and a total that helps raise awareness for this deadly disease.

With the support of the York County Corvette Club, Corvettes for Chip hosted a few hundred guests and nearly as many Corvettes. These generous owners and CMAF supporters made Carlisle their home for a day, much like they do each August as part of Corvettes at Carlisle. Showcasing cool Corvettes wasn’t the only point of the day. Everyone was in Carlisle to honor National Corvette Hall of Famer Chip Miller. Miller passed away in 2004 due to Amyloidosis and beginning in 2009, this event was established to help honor his legacy and contributions to the Corvette hobby.

Being showcased for the first time in some time, CMAF President Lance Miller “dusted off” the Dale Earnhardt, Sr./Dale Jr./Andy Pilgrim #3 racer from the 2001 24 hours of Daytona race. This car has been part of the Miller family collection for years and was the last race car Dale Sr. ever finished a race in.

Not only did the York County Corvette Club make a generous donation to the CMAF, so did the Lancaster County Corvette Club. Further fundraising came via an auction, the CMAF merchandise table, baked goods and more. The day even welcomed Santa for some early festive cheer, plus a DJ spinning the tunes. As things wound down, the day even featured an awards ceremony, some Corvette focused vendors and a mid-day engine rev, again all to celebrate Chip and the CMAF.

“The event had a torrential downpour all morning,” noted CMAF President Lance Miller. “We’re VERY fortunate we’ve got strong supporters because the people that made it to the event had large smiles and knew they were helping a wonderful cause,” continued Miller. “My father was smiling down with that genuine smile we all miss so dearly.”

Miller’s comments weren’t the only glowing ones coming out of event weekend. Corvettes for Chip Chairman George Trocki also offered positive feedback on the day.

“We are so proud to be a part of the Miller team and the CMAF” said Trocki. “Despite the weather, our spirits continued at a high level of energy and professionalism. The day was nicely organized, winners appreciated their awards, the concessions were well received and of course all of the great sponsors who help make this event possible are greatly appreciated too.”

This was the final CMAF event of the year, though two great ways to donate continue. First, anyone interested in winning a 2020 C8 mid-engine Corvette can register to do so via www.ChipMiller.org. Second, donations are welcome 24/7/365 at the same web page via the “donations” tab.

Carlisle, PA – Each year the Chip Miller Amyloidosis Foundation hosts or is part of events geared towards raising awareness and funds for battling the Amyloidosis disease. These events bring in thousands of dollars for the foundation. In addition, the CMAF solicits and receives donations from generous “friends of the foundation.” On October 9, the CMAF was surprised to receive an unsolicited donation of $1,000 via the AACA Museum, Inc. as part of its annual Night at the Museum event.

The event, held annually in Hershey, is the museum’s key fundraiser and annually spotlights major contributors to the automotive hobby. For 2019, Chip Miller and Bill Miller, Jr. were tapped as Legacy Award Winners. Bill Miller, Jr. was present and accepting on behalf of Chip was his son Lance. Both Miller families (no relation) were on hand too.

Surrounded by family and friends, the AACA Museum, Inc. team caught Lance’s attention and invited him back to the podium with this special surprise in mind. Unsuspecting, Miller obliged and when presented with the check, mustered a grin that his dad would have been proud of and shared with the room words his dad frequently uttered; “Life is Good.”

“The AACA Museum, Inc. was excited to honor Chip Miller with the AACA Museum Automotive Heritage Award. In Chip’s honor, we were happy to provide a $1,000 donation to the Chip Miller Amyloidosis Foundation,” noted Nancy Gates, Director of Marketing and Communications for the museum.

Miller recalled this special moment too, noting that “my father was smiling down and certainly humbled by the AACA award. The AACA Museum made a $1,000 donation towards the CMAF, what a wonderful and extremely generous surprise. Every penny earned goes towards a cause that my family, board members and myself fully believe in. Amyloidosis may have caused my best friend and father to pass away way too early, but amyloidosis also provided us with a mission. This donation goes directly towards our mission and I’m grateful!”
