Carlisle, PA – Now in its third decade of doing good for those impacted by Amyloidosis, the Chip Miller Amyloidosis Foundation (CMAF) works year-round to raise awareness and funds to support research, education, and individuals in need.  In 2025, the foundation continued those efforts through fundraising dinners, merchandise sales and auctions, general donations, and a Corvette sweepstakes. As funds are raised, the foundation actively works to identify where those dollars will have the greatest impact when it’s time to give back.

With the final days of 2025 behind us and the curtain rising on 2026, the CMAF is proud to share that $160,000 will be gifted to five outstanding organizations. This includes $35,000 to the Mayo Clinic, $35,000 to the Amyloidosis Research Consortium (ARC), $35,000 to Amyloidosis Support Groups, $30,000 to the Amyloidosis Foundation, and $25,000 to Penn Medicine.

In addition to supporting these incredible organizations, CMAF is earmarking an additional $10,000 to invest in the future of the automotive hobby.  These funds will go directly to the Chip Miller Memorial Scholarship Fund, where each recipient will receive $1,000 to support their pursuit of a career in the automotive industry. 

“My father was my best friend and mentor,” quipped CMAF President Lance Miller.  “Watching him lose his life to this terrible disease (Amyloidosis) was horrifying for my family and me,” continued Miller.  “We knew he’d prefer his life celebrated rather than mourned, and the foundation carries his name proudly.  We know the donations made are making him smile from above,” added Miller.  “Most of all, I’d like to thank the board members and all the supporters for making 2025 a major success for the CMAF.  As my father would often say, “Life is Good!”

Carlisle, PA – Internationally renowned Corvette enthusiast Chip Miller helped establish Carlisle Events as a premier automotive destination when it launched in 1974, later creating the iconic Corvettes at Carlisle event in 1982. Sadly, just 22 years later, Chip lost his life to a rare disease known as Amyloidosis. Since his passing in March 2004, the Chip Miller Amyloidosis Foundation (CMAF) has worked tirelessly to raise awareness and funding in pursuit of a cure. Through community events, charitable contributions, and online sweepstakes, the CMAF has donated thousands to support individuals affected by the disease as well as organizations dedicated to Amyloidosis research and treatment.

The CMAF has done so much for so many, and for 2026, announced the return of the Chip Miller Memorial Scholarship. This opportunity is designed to support the next generation of automotive enthusiasts who share Chip’s love for all things automotive.

The scholarship is open to any high school, undergraduate, graduate, or trade school student pursuing a career in the automotive field.  In short, the CMAF wants to give back and support someone who embodies Miller himself. There were nine winners in 2025 and this time around, it’s anticipated that more than $10,000 in monies will be available by award day on June 1, 2026. With $1,000 per winner being offered, this means at least 10 winners will be selected, though more are possible as donations come in between now and the April 30 deadline.

While Chip’s time was cut short, the impact of his passion lives on. He helped build some of the world’s premier automotive gatherings—events that continue to draw families and enthusiasts to Carlisle, Pennsylvania year after year. Carlisle’s place as a must-visit destination for car lovers can be traced directly to what Chip helped create and to this day, continues to foster friendships, memories, and a sense of community that truly defines his legacy.

“My dad was the definition of a gearhead—constantly tuning, tweaking, and chasing that extra bit of speed on the quarter mile,” said Lance Miller, CMAF President and Chip’s son. “He had a huge heart and was always the first to step in and help someone, especially kids. Knowing that this scholarship is inspiring and supporting students more than 20 years after his passing brings tremendous pride to my family and everyone involved with the foundation.”

CARLISLE, PA – 20 years – it’s been 20 years since National Corvette Hall of Famer Elliott “Chip” Miller passed away due to a rare disease known as Amyloidosis. In the years since that fateful night in March of 2004, his namesake foundation has worked tirelessly to raise both funding and awareness, all to find a cure for this deadly disease. Through in-person events, donations, and online sweepstakes, the Chip Miller Amyloidosis Foundation (CMAF) has successfully awarded thousands to those in need as well as outlets that specialize in Amyloidosis research and care.

The CMAF has done so much for so many, as have so many done so much for it. There have been golf outings, track time, 5K races, surf outings, food events, water slide dates, and more. But, until recently, there had never been a scholarship to help further the education of someone with automotive interests. After all, second only to being an amazing family man, Chip Miller was a car guy, a Corvette guy.

As his professional baby, Carlisle Events celebrates its 50^th Anniversary in 2024, the Miller families, friends, and car lovers alike pause to remember the 20^th anniversary of his passing. During this milestone year, the CMAF announced an ALL-NEW scholarship opportunity designed to support the next generation of students who share Chip’s love for all things automotive.

This scholarship, announced during the 2024 offering of Corvettes at Carlisle in front of a room of Corvette dignitaries, is open to any high school, undergraduate, graduate, or trade school student pursuing a career in the automotive field. In short, the CMAF wants to give back and support someone who embodies Miller himself. Best of all, by way of a generous donation, the scholarship has been seeded with $3,000; enough to offer multiple awards in May of 2025.

While Chip’s life may have been cut short, there’s no denying his passion and legacy. He helped craft some of the world’s greatest car shows, bringing together friends and families from around the world in Carlisle, Pennsylvania to celebrate the hobby. Those events have kept Carlisle on the map and made it a destination for car lovers from around the world. The nearly $100 million in economic impact dollars pales in comparison to the true power of the sense of friendship and community that each event offers.

“My father was a “grease monkey,” always working diligently on his cars, often trying to figure out ways to make it quicker on the 1/4 mile,” said Chip’s son and CMAF President Lance Miller. “The scholarship is something my father would love to see happen as he was always helping everyone he could; especially children, continued Miller. “It brings my family, the board, and I great pleasure knowing he’s making a positive impact 20 years following his passing from this terrible disease… Amyloidosis.”

CARLISLE, PA – The Chip Miller Amyloidosis Foundation (CMAF) launched in 2004 following the untimely passing of National Corvette Hall of Famer and Carlisle Events co-founder, Chip Miller. For the past 20 years, the CMAF has served those in need in a variety of ways, and in memory of the 20th anniversary of Chip’s passing, it’s safe to say that 2024 couldn’t be off to a better start for the foundation and for those who knew and loved Chip. While the foundation is in the process of planning its summer events season and managing its current Corvette Contest, a recent contest car and the buzz surrounding it netted the CMAF nearly $300,000, all because of a handful of generous people and national TV exposure.

On Thursday, January 25, while many were wrapping up their workday, Lance Miller, president of the CMAF was in Scottsdale, Arizona with friends and the hard-working team from the Barrett-Jackson auction house. Barrett-Jackson was amid its annual Scottsdale auction and this year, included Miller, the CMAF, and one very special Corvette; a 2023 Z06 with Z07 Performance Package. The car had previously been part of the CMAF’s 2022-23 Corvette Contest and although it was awarded in October, the grand prize winner opted for the cash payout. This meant that the foundation still had a highly sought-after car and a renewed opportunity to utilize it to benefit the foundation.

In partnership with Barrett-Jackson, the Corvette was consigned, and before it rolled across the block where it sold for $220,000, donations of support were coming into the CMAF.

“Prior to the sale, a dear friend walked up to me and handed me a check for $5,000, but that wasn’t the end of it,” noted Miller. “As I was leaving, another friend walked up and hugged me. In addition, he told me that he and his family would be donating $50,000 towards the CMAF,” continued Miller. “We crushed it last night. I’m so proud to be part of the CMAF and it simply humbles me as to how amazing the car hobby and the people involved with it are so gracious year in and year out. The team at Barrett-Jackson stepped up to the plate to support the cause. I can’t thank them enough, including Craig Jackson and my dear friend Joe Petralia too,” said Miller. “This entire experience was an astonishing win for the CMAF. I’m fortunate to have been able to share our story with everyone. Our board works incredibly hard with a variety of fund-raising ventures and last night’s totals are MASSIVE for a small foundation like ours. My father is smiling down. Life IS Good,” concluded Miller.

Beginning with the doors opening at 5 p.m. on Friday, June 2, and continuing with a 6 p.m. dinner at the Carlisle Expo Center (100 K. St. in Carlisle, PA), the Saleen Club of America, Steve Saleen himself, the CMAF, and Ford enthusiasts from around the world converge for a special dinner, car unveiling, and one-of-a-kind camaraderie that can’t be duplicated outside of this event.

The inaugural event not only offers participants a one-on-one chance to mix and mingle with the legendary Steve Saleen, but other Saleen-themed guests too. Stories will be shared spanning 40 Years of Saleen, a special Saleen unveiling is planned, plus a great mix of food and drinks are on the menu, all sourced by Pepsi as well as a local Carlisle business. Best of all, there are multiple ways to support the CMAF, both by admission to the dinner and via planned raffles and a live charity auction. This accumulation may happen systemically (throughout the body) or locally (in one tissue). Annually, 3,000 cases are diagnosed, but the disease is still rare enough that usually by the time it’s detected, it’s too late. This was the case for Chip and why the CMAF hosts events like Corvettes for Chip to not only raise money for those affected by the disease, but to raise awareness for it too so that others don’t lose their loved ones. Donation amounts vary for entry into the sweepstakes.  The base option is $25 and yields 12 tickets.  There are $50, $100, $250, $500, $100, $1,500 and $2,500 options too.  Each option includes exponentially more entries into the sweepstakes.  The winning name will be drawn at 4 p.m. on October 1.

CARLISLE, PA – The GM family of vehicles are rich with history and tradition. What were once stand-alone brands like Buick, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, etc. now fall under the General Motors umbrella and are all equally celebrated at the Carlisle GM Nationals each summer. This year, from June 25-26, the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds and Nationals Parts Depot Showfield will come alive with over 100 years of history. As part of this showcase, there are special displays, guests, cool cars and more. In addition, GM Nationals weekend hosts a charity car show to benefit the Chip Miller Amyloidosis Foundation.

It all starts early on Friday, June 25. When the gates open at 7 a.m. For 2021 attractions include a nod to pop-culture by way of Comic-Car Con. This display will have selected cars that represent TV shows and movies spanning decades of entertainment. Further, guests can enjoy the 50^th celebration of the Vega and H-Platform, a GM Swaps display, a GM Nationals Showcase display and the annual Solid Lifter Showroom in Building Y.

Along with the cool cars are equally cool guests. Just announced, spend a day at Carlisle on Saturday, June 26 and meet TV host and builder Aaron Kaufman of Gas Monkey Garage fame. Kaufman comes to the GM Nationals for the first time ever and is anxious to see the cars and meet the enthusiasts. In addition to Gas Monkey Garage, which Kaufman co-hosted with Richard Rawlings, he’s also the owner of Dallas, Texas based Arclight Fabrication. Kaufman also ventured into solo TV projects, including Shifting Gears with Aaron Kaufman and Aaron Needs a Job. His appearance time and on grounds location is TBD, but it is FREE to meet him and get an autograph once through the gates.

The Carlisle GM Nationals will also have a few competitions that are sure to excite the crowd. The competitions will include a rolling exhaust contest, real-street shootout and some fun with UMI Performance and autocross each day. The shootout is Friday, while the exhaust contest is Saturday. There will also be  seminars, installs with A&A Auto Stores and awards such as Carlisle Elite, largest club and coolest club too.

Finally, ALL NEW in 2021, Carlisle Events and the Carlisle GM Nationals welcome the Chip Miller Amyloidosis Foundation, the York County Corvette Club and Corvettes for Chip. This event, historically held in the fall, transitions to the GM Nationals and will welcome over 200 Corvettes to the grounds. Corvettes for Chip is a fund-raising event geared towards raising awareness of and money for the CMAF and Amyloidosis, the disease that took the life of Carlisle Events co-founder Chip Miller in 2004.
