Sutton, England – Cheffins Auctioneers is set to host a landmark standalone automobilia auction, bringing to market what is being described as Britain’s most significant barn-find collection of motoring history in decades.

The extraordinary collection, comprising more than 400 items, has remained hidden from public view for over 20 years, stored across two barns in rural East Anglia. Encompassing enamel signs, petrol pump globes, bicycles and a wide range of motoring ephemera.

Such is the importance of the find that the collection will be offered in its own dedicated auction, taking place on Saturday, March 21st at the Cheffins Machinery Salesground in Sutton, near Ely. With many items completely fresh to market, the sale has the potential to set new benchmarks within the automobilia sector and is expected to be a major event for collectors both in the UK and internationally.

Cheffins Auctioneers

Highlights of the collection include a Stepney Tyres large enamel sign dating from the 1920s. Measuring 5ft x 4ft, this large-scale piece has not been seen on the open market since 2015. In addition, there is a British Dominions enamel sign and a circa 1879 penny-farthing bicycle up for auction.

The vendors of the collection wish to remain anonymous.

Tom Godsmark, Director at Cheffins says: “This secret hoard has been hidden from public view for at least 20 years, and this really is a true barn-find scenario. It was incredible when we walked into the barns – we have seen numerous significant collections pass through Cheffins, but the scope and completeness of this collection is exceptional; its breadth, diversity and rarity are extremely impressive. It has been very difficult to value the collection as a whole, as it is so extensive.”

“Values have been consistently rising for automobilia in recent years and pieces of motoring history now make up one of the fastest growing collecting classes in the antiques and vintage market. In the past couple of years, average prices have doubled as collectors seek out the best in class of opportunities”

“Everything a collector could want to add to their garage, office or home will cross the Barrett-Jackson auction block this January,’” said Rory Brinkman, automobilia director at Barrett-Jackson. “Some of the most sought after pieces will be among the more than 40 restored gas pumps dating from the 1920s through the 1960s. Among the highlights is a 1930s Texaco Oil Wayne Model #60 gas pump with art-deco styling that underwent a concours-level restoration. A similar pump sold at the 2024 Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Fall Auction for $80,500, so it’s going to be a very exciting offering.”

Long before old-car hobbyists connected on the internet and social media to buy and sell cars, parts, and automobilia, they met in person at swap meets and flea markets. Certainly, online commerce is popular and efficient, but nothing beats the in-person experience of swap meets. And the largest automotive flea market, the annual AACA Eastern Fall Nationals in Hershey, Pa., is a yearly family reunion of vintage-automobile fans. The vehicles brought them together initially, but it is the lasting friendships that keep them coming back to reconnect.

“Family” is what makes Hershey so great, and it’s why I keep attending, but of all my trips, the 2021 visit ranks as the most personally moving Chocolate-town experience. To convey this Hershey moment properly, I first need to relate a little of my family history.

In this original configuration, the sign was approximately 12-13 feet long and had a flashing neon arrow on each end pointing to the word “GAS.” “WEBB” and “CUT PRICE” were painted and not illuminated.

Webb Oil Co. and Mathiowetz Body Shop

In 1930, my grandfather, Wendelin Mathiowetz, known to family and friends as “Stutz,” built and operated a small gas station in Sleepy Eye, Minn. The little wooden station was a part of the fledgling Webb Oil Co., an independent chain created in 1923, based in Minnesota, that offered “Cut Price” fuel and lubricants. Unfortunately, a fire in 1932 leveled Stutz’s building, but the site was quickly redeveloped as a bigger, better Webb Cut Price service center. Soon thereafter, Stutz provided body and fender work, wheel alignment, headlamp alignment, and tire mounting and balancing in the building, thus expanding his business to better serve local motorists.

Stutz ran his Mathiowetz Body Shop for many years, and was well known for his neatness, perfection, and business acumen. He continually upgraded the building with the latest Bennett gas pumps, painted-metal and neon signage, and new body-shop equipment. In the early years, the station used several visible gas pumps, a large double-sided neon “WEBB GAS” sign on the canopy covering the pump island, and other homemade signs pointing out various promotions. By the 1950s, modern, short electric pumps replaced the tall visibles, and a new, longer, double-sided neon “WEBB CUT PRICE GAS” sign replaced the first sign.

Family Tradition

Tragedy struck the Mathiowetz family and business in 1960. In October, Stutz was killed in a single-car accident east of Sleepy Eye. He was survived by his wife (Rose, my grandmother, who passed away in 2009) and two sons (Bob, my uncle, now 89, and Charles, my father, who passed away in 2020). Bob assumed ownership of the business, and, for the next 25-plus years, he operated the gas station/body shop with great success. Two of Bob’s sons, Lowell and Marv, became owners of the business in the early 1990s after Bob stepped away from daily duties. Today, Lowell, Marv, and Lowell’s son, Jeff, continue the family tradition of providing excellent body repair in the same brick building Stutz erected in the 1930s.

As for Webb Oil Co., time wasn’t kind. In the early 1980s, the small Midwestern chain was purchased by a larger corporation, and Webb became an oil industry footnote. Because of this business change, Bob discontinued offering any gasoline in the late 1980s/early 1990s and focused exclusively on collision work. Soon, the underground tanks were unearthed, the gas pumps were taken away, the concrete pump island was razed, and the neon sign removed.

Note that the supporting poles and pump-island light fixtures are the same ones pictured in the 1960 image.

The “B GAS” Neon Sign

A few of the Webb items from the station remain in the personal collections of Bob and Marv, but other pieces were sold or scrapped. One of the items, the double-sided neon “WEBB CUT PRICE GAS” sign, was sold to a local antique dealer in the early 1990s.

The sign, which Stutz put into service around 1950, was originally about 12-13 feet long with red neon tubing for the word “GAS” and a flashing arrow on each end pointing inward. At some point in the late 1960s or early 1970s, the sign was shortened, which eliminated the ends and flashing neon arrows. The alteration left an unusual and distinctive appearance, which, for many years, had me perplexed.

Because the sign wasn’t repainted after its modification, on each side one could read the letter “B,” the word “GAS,” and a portion of the letters “C” and “P.” In all of my visits to the station when I was young, I often wondered why the sign read “B GAS.” Later, of course, I could see that the “B” was the last remaining letter of the word “WEBB,” and the faint “C” and “P” were leftovers from the words “CUT PRICE.” After the sign left the building, we never saw it again, and I often wondered what had happened to it.

Unbelievable Discovery

In 2021, my girlfriend, Deb, and I traveled from our home in central Wisconsin to Hershey to take in all of the AACA action and display our 1964 Amphicar in Saturday’s car show. As we were walking through Chocolate Field North of the flea market, a large Firestone neon sign on a trailer caught our attention. As Deb was examining it, I walked around the trailer to look at the other signs that the vendor had for sale. Immediately, I recognized a sign that I had seen so many times before. When Deb joined me, I exclaimed, “This is the sign from the body shop!” Its distinctive appearance was a dead giveaway. It was almost too unreal to comprehend. How could our family sign from Minnesota be at Hershey? It was 1,200 miles away from home, and about 30 years after I had last seen it.

The vendor walked toward me and said, “I think the sign was cut down at one time.” I replied, “Yeah, my uncle did it. This sign is from my grandfather’s gas station.” I quickly followed with, “Where are you from?” His response? “Minnesota.”

The vendor, Mike Wegleitner, was closing up his space for the night, but we quickly made a handshake deal. I was certain that the sign was, indeed, the sign, but because the item was rather expensive, I asked if the sale could be contingent upon confirmation from my cousin, Marv, back home. Mike, fascinated by the whole story, was extremely cooperative and agreed, and we met the following morning, my 60th birthday, to close the deal.

We e-mailed pictures of the sign to Marv at the body shop. He quickly called me and said, “Keith, that’s the sign!” I had to ask, “Are you sure, Marv?” Without hesitation, he proclaimed, “I’d bet my life on it! Unbelievable! Congratulations!”

Mike explained that he had recently “picked” the sign from a warehouse in Duluth, Minn. The warehouse was full of signs collected over many years; the signs were destined to decorate a bar/restaurant in the Canal Park area of the city. The business never materialized, and the signs sat untouched. Except for broken neon tubing, the extremely weathered “B GAS” sign looked exactly the same as it did at the body shop in the 1980s.

<button

After careful repair and conservation, the “B GAS” sign now hangs proudly over the collector cars in our garage. The sign retains the identical weathering patterns that it had in 1988.

Conservation and Display

Because Deb and I were tight on space in our tow vehicle and trailer, Mike graciously transported the 7-foot sign back to Minnesota, where Deb and I retrieved it a few weeks after Hershey. A difficult decision had to be made. Do I restore the sign as originally configured, or do I just replace the broken letters and let it be? In the end, I decided to just replace the letters, as the unusual appearance is how I always remembered the sign and was the clue to its discovery.

A short while later, we delivered the sign to Gail Schroepfer of Northern Advertising, Inc. in Antigo, Wis. A seasoned neon craftsperson, Gail crafted the replacement neon letters based on vintage photos that I had. She also replaced the non-working transformer and brittle wiring to make it a safe and reliable unit. In the process, we located the flasher device that once controlled the neon arrows, and we learned that the old transformer dated to 1950.

The sign now hangs proudly over the collector cars in our garage, and it is literally the center of attention. Interestingly, three of the five cars in the garage had been beneath the sign before, when they were being fueled with Webb Cut Price gasoline back in the 1970s and 1980s.

Don’t let anyone tell you that swap meets are only about rusty parts and tools. They are family reunions, and, at Hershey, I was uniquely reunited with family members past and present.

The eight-day event will also incorporate the exclusive Barrett-Jackson Cup Competition, featuring 50 vehicles from some of the nation’s top custom car and truck builders.

Barrett-Jackson went to great lengths to safeguard the health and safety of guests during the Fall Auction in October. The company plans to build on that success with this signature January event by continuing to implement the safety precautions recommended by local and state health authorities. The event was designed with several preview days at the beginning of the week, allowing collector car enthusiasts ample time to enjoy viewing the vehicles safely and in a comfortable, physically distanced environment.

“Barrett-Jackson was the first collector car auction company to introduce live internet bidding to the industry in the early 1990s,” said Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson. “Today, that same innovative spirit has led to our new online auction platform that will deliver the same level of trust digitally as we do in person. All of our bidders will be carefully pre-screened and our vehicles reviewed with the same care as at our live events, making our online auctions the perfect extension of the Barrett-Jackson experience.”

The Online Only May 2020 Auction will be run on the leading online auction platform, Proxibid, giving bidders and sellers alike secure online transactions and an infrastructure that boasts 99 percent uptime. Barrett-Jackson’s relaunched online auction will connect sellers with pre-screened bidders who have been vetted using bank-level risk mitigation tools. Consignors will have the advantage of being associated with Barrett-Jackson’s international brand, the visibility offered on extensive marketing and advertising platforms, and exposure to the company’s extensive database of car collectors around the world.

By John Gunnell

WAUTOMA, Wis. – Wayne Yoder puts on his “Yoder Sold” collector car auctions each spring and fall. They are fun to attend and Wayne always sells a wide range of different items for an even wider range of prices.

Yoder starts off taking bids on automobilia items and has a real knack for finding collectors of in his rural area. He then moves on to selling cars and trucks— about 70 in his Sept. 20 auction. He’ll wind up most days with a sprinkling of golf carts, boats, trollies, pedal cars and additional automobilia.

Each car in the sale has a State of Wisconsin form in the window that lists pertinent information and the known problems of each vehicle. This takes a lot of guesswork out of striking deals on an auction block. Most vehicles also have a window sign listing their features and benefits. Registering for the auction is also free. Good food is available from a vendor on the grounds. The auction podium is indoors, in case of bad weather.

Yoder made a big improvement at the latest sale by handing out a 36-page list with every item for sale with photos and written descriptions of each lot. Unlike the case in previous years, there were enough of these lists floating around all day for everyone to get one if they wanted to.

The Yoder auction staffers do a good job verbally describing items, projecting pictures of each item on a screen, soliciting and calling out bids, dealing with Internet bidders and posting the prices realized on the Internet so you can check what each sold item brought when you get home. The only thing we could think about to improve the operation is to have an after-sale lot where negotiations on no sale items could continue.

There are always a couple of hidden gems among the vehicle offerings if you really research them. We didn’t know that the 1940 Series 72 Cadillac sold at the latest auction was a one-year-only model (and one of 455 built) until we read up about it after the sale. Also, a beat-up ’68 Chevy ambulance turned out to be a Coachcraft conversion with links that could be traced all the way back to famed designer Howard “Dutch” Darrin.

Following are a few of the interesting vehicles that sold in Wautoma on Sept. 20.

1964 Chevrolet C20 Custom pickup

Condition 2. Color: Black and gray two-tone. 190 miles since restoration). Flathead V-8. Three-on-the-tree transmission. This car was listed on the auction bill as a one-year-only Series 72 sedan, but its serial number and sleek styling matched a 60 Special Series sedan with the clean, smooth look and large, high-top windows emphasizing the glass area. This model was available with the Sunshine TurretTop as this one had. These cars rode Cadillac’s shortest wheelbase and had a V-8 under their hoods. This one came from Arizona and was beautiful and completely and nicely restored. What a buy for just $18,000.

Condition 4. Color: Dark Blue. 79,157 miles. V-8. Three-speed automatic. Power steering; power brakes and power windows that don’t work. Also non-functional were the horn, turn signals, light and door locks (no mention as to whether the door locks were power-operated or not). Things like this made it hard to get “into” this Vette (literally). However, it had Headman side pipes and Cragar wheels so it looked cool. According to the auction bill, you could also drive it home and stop it when you got there. A hairy hot rod for the handyman at $5,500.

Condition 3. Color: Orange. 14,995 miles showing. Teeny-tiny 1500cc in-line four with 53 huffing and puffing horsepower. Four-on-the-floor gearbox. These are actually pretty cool British sports cars on the affordable side of that niche. This one ran good and stopped good. Wayne Yoder noted, “The soft convertible top does not snap all the way down.” The owner said he never drove the Spitfire with the top up. But take it from us, if you park it in the sun for a day or so, the top snaps will probably all work fine. We restored one of these and it was a neat machine. This tiny Triumph did not need restoration and will be a big bundle of fun for just $4,000.

Condition 2. Restyled. Color: Starburst Blue. Mileage not stated. 302-cid V-8. Automatic transmission. Modifications to this mid-sized ragtop included rack-and-pinion steering; a four-link rear suspension; Vintage Air A/C and a custom interior with a Dakota Digital dashboard. Owner stated that over $100,000 had been spent customizing this flip-top Ford. It also had power windows, a power-operated convertible top, power-operated doors and power steering. It turned out to be the auction’s high-priced honey pulling down an eye-opening $35,500.

Condition 3. Stock. Color: Pastel Lime. Mileage 1,053 (since restoration?). 351-cid two-barrel V-8. Automatic transmission. Power steering, power brakes and non-functioning factory A/C. Includes new in-the-box trunk mat. Turin is the capital city of the Piemonte region of northwestern Italy, but the Italians call it Torino. The city fathers also asked the Olympics to use that name. Whatever you call this particular Ford, it’s a nice one from the body color to the Laser Stripe on the side. The VIN engine code indicates a 351 is correct in this unit. It brought only $1,000 less than the rare 1940 Cadillac Series 72 and sold for $17,000.

Condition 2. Custom-style restoration. Color: Red and Black. Mileage 45 (since complete restoration). 360-cid V-8. Automatic transmission. A beautifully restored Dodge pickup done with Power Wagon pizzazz by Dave’s Body Shop in Stevens Point, Wis. This truck was completely overhauled and put into just-like-new cosmetic and mechanical condition. The under-hood detailing was the only thing that could have been made slightly better, but not by much. The graphics treatment was flashy and the whole truck was “over-Power(ing)-Wagon” impressive. The bucket seat interior was also redone. Someone took home a very nice ride for $15,000.

Three-on-the-tree.The Deluxe or Custom names appeared on this plate on most ’51 Fords, but the plate on the all-new hardtop model said Victoria. “The car that gives you the smart styling of a convertible with the snugness of a sedan,” is how ad copywriters described this model. This car was awakened from a deep sleep in 2016 and re-wired, re-tired, re-braked and more. It had some beauty marks and battle scars, but nothing drastic. Sold for $5,750.

Condition 3. Stock. Hatch roof coupe. Color: Black. Mileage 96,143. 350-cid four-barrel V-8. Six-speed manual transmission. Chevy had no 30th Anniversary Corvette in 1983, but was careful not to miss the opportunity in 1993. An exclusive “Ruby Red” color was used inside and out. The $1,455 Anniversary package (RPO Z25) retailed for $1,455 and also included color-keyed wheel centers, headrest embroidery and “40th Anniversary” emblems on the hood, deck and side-gills. The 1993 Vette was the first North American automobile to use recycled sheet-molded-compound body panels. This black car — not Ruby Red-brought $4,500.

Condition 4. Customized. Color: Yellow. Mileage 80,740. 318-cid V-8. Automatic transmission. Tinted windows. RV couch inside the back. Wood-grained vinyl flooring installed along with real wood ceiling in load area. Sun roof; LCD lighting and chrome headers. Nice running, driving and braking. Paint had a lot of orange peel, but this van was redone for travel fun and not dolled up for beauty contests. The price it brought reflects the fact that some buyer “got” what it was all about and bought into the updated-hippie-van appeal of this reliable old Dodge. Sold for a surprising $7,000.

Condition 6. Stock. Color: Gray. Mileage unknown. What was left of a flathead six-cylinder. Semi-automatic (Fluid Drive) transmission. Despite the fact that it was incorrectly listed as a “Plymouth-De Soto,” we were actually excited about this car because Dad owned one just like it (without the outside sun visor). When we bought his at H & L Oldsmobile in Staten Island, N.Y. we really loved the woodgrained inner door moldings with Hernando De Soto’s cameo on them. Dad’s car became kind of a jalopy, but this one was even worse. It had been “sitting for years” and had some rust, although it was overall pretty solid.Sold for $1,100.

Condition 6. Stock. Color: Rust. Mileage 57,323. 390-cid 250-hp two-barrel V-8. The owner described it as a “fixer-upper with good potential.” At first glance it looked like an $800 junker-clunker with zero appeal, but the longer you stared, you realized how cool it would be to restore this car. It’s rare, too. Only 4,173 were built. The missing chrome moldings were even in the trunk. To restore it you’d have to redo everything, but it would be “way cool.” The kicker was when the car drove up to the podium, it ran like a racing car. Someone else must have squinted and imagined how nice this Merc could be. It sold for $3,100.

2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser

Condition 3. Stock. Color: Black. Mileage 180,352. 2.4-liter four-cylinder. Automatic transmission. We know some readers won’t think of this as an “old car,” but at the tender age of 18 it nearly qualifies for collector plates in Wisconsin. And think about this. Just after these cars came out, we had our ’36 Pontiac Touring Sedan at the grocery store and a lady asked us if it was a PT. This one runs and drives and has a power sun roof, power windows, power door locks and power windows—not to mention leather seats. Best of all, this Cruiser sold for just $1,100.

1968 Chevrolet Coachcraft High-Headroom Ambulance

Condition 6. Stock ambulance conversion. Color: Orange/White. Mileage 33,264. V-8. Automatic transmission. Converted from a Chevrolet C10 truck. A rare rig made by Coachcraft Ltd. of California. Coachcraft was founded in 1939 by three men who worked for famed designer “Dutch” Darrin. The company specialized in custom cars for Hollywood types based on lower-priced Fords, Studebakers and such. It also did famous creations like a 1951 Cadillac station wagon. The company was still operating in the early 2000s and moved from West Hollywood to Morepark. The ambulance netted $4,000.

Condition 4. Stock. Color: Black (of course). Mileage unknown. 176.7-cid 20-hp inline four-cylinder. Planetary transmission with three foot pedals for control. The Model T for 1917 looked like an all-new car, but was actually a rather simple evolution from 1916. The brass radiator and the small hood were gone, as were all bits of brass trim. New curved and crowned fenders appeared. There was also a new black radiator shell, a new hood and a new hood former. The Runabout roadster cost $345. Over 107,000 were built. This one ran and drove (at least as far as the podium) and included upgrades like key starting. It sold for $4,500.

Auburn, Indiana – Having announced the launch of a new, dedicated Memorabilia Division earlier this year, Worldwide’s 12th annual Auburn will run as an expanded two-day sale on Friday, August 30th and Saturday August 31st. Over 600 lots of quality, “fresh-to-market” memorabilia from three private collections will be sold entirely without reserve during the Labor Day Weekend sale, in addition to the traditional offering of exceptional motorcars. The sale will be staged at the company’s imposing new Auburn, Indiana headquarters, opposite and within walking distance of the Auburn Auction Park. The weekend kicks off with The FabulousDakota Discoveries Collection, set to go under the hammer on Friday, August 30th at 2pm. Over 300 lots of memorabilia and a selection of cars from the collection will be offered for sale, entirely without reserve. On Saturday, August 31st from 1-6pm, 300 more exceptional lots of memorabilia from The Roaring Twenties Museum and The Gleave Collection will all also sell at no reserve, with the main motorcar auction starting at 6pm.

“Here at Worldwide, we love great cars and all the associated cool “stuff” that comes with the hobby has long been a related passion We’re excited to be adding such an exceptional collection of automobilia this year and look forward to welcoming everyone to our fantastic new global headquarters right here in Auburn,” said John Kruse, Principal & Auctioneer.

Aficionados will also get the opportunity to bid on some extraordinary and very special one-of-a-kind consignments at this year’s Auburn Auction. Offered without reserve is a spectacular 1948 Tucker Model 48 Sedan, to be sold with all proceeds benefiting the Mayo Clinic for cancer research. Also on offer at no reserve is the trademark, licensing and manufacturing rights to the illustrious Cord Automobile, presenting any new owner with a rare and substantial opportunity to reinvent an iconic marque and all that is associated with it.

WILLOUGHBY, Ohio /PRNewswire/ — Milestone Auctions in suburban Cleveland will open the doors to their brand new, purpose-built gallery on Saturday, July 27 with an 800-lot sale of breweriana and advertising; coin-ops, and classic-era muscle cars offered with no reserve.

“In only a few short years, our auction business has grown exponentially,” explained Miles King, who co-owns Milestone Auctions along with business partner Chris Sammet. “Because of that growth, we really needed a larger gallery, more storage space, and a dedicated area for shipping. Our new building gives us everything we’ll need for the future.”

To launch the new venue, Milestone’s team scoured the country for first-class consignments, focusing on categories that are popular with their bidders, starting with antique advertising. The centerpiece of the sale is a private collection of breweriana containing many 19th/20th-century rarities. There are signs of all types (including illuminating), brewery prints, back bar advertising items, serving and tip trays, advertising figures, novelty bottles, tap knobs and more.

Gas and oil advertising always attracts an enthusiastic legion of bidders to Milestone’s sales. Included in the sale is a Texaco Marine Motor Oil double-sided porcelain sign has a busy nautical image of ships and boats beneath a flock of seagulls.

Additional advertising categories include automobilia, food, dairy and ice cream; insurance, paint, hotels, soap, medicine, soda pop and many others. There are porcelain, tin and cardboard signs, serving trays, thermometers, store displays and more.

Classic-era muscle cars are ready show off their best assets. “Each and every one of the cars will be auctioned with no reserve,” King said. The group includes a 1974 Chevrolet Corvette, 1971 Corvette Convertible, 1968 Ford Mustang GT, and 1974 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am.

The set of wheels grabbing the most pre-sale attention, however, is 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback 2+2 V8 ‘Bullitt Clone’ in Dark Highland Green. The car underwent a fastidious three-year restoration in the late 1990s. “The owner wanted a Mustang like the one Steve McQueen drove in the film ‘Bullitt’ and spared no expense to achieve his goal,” King said. “It’s a fast car and is a blast to drive. I can’t say enough about how clean and sharp this Mustang looks.” Accompanied by photos, videos, research papers and receipts to document its restoration, the pampered American classic will cross the auction block on July 27th.

The Saturday, July 27 auction will take place at 38198 Willoughby Parkway, Willoughby, Ohio 44094. Start time: 10 a.m. ET. All forms of remote bidding available, including live via the Internet.
Genuine, authentic gas pumps are expected to be among the most anticipated automobilia pieces crossing the block in Palm Beach. A collection of over 17 perfectly restored examples dating from the 1920s through the late 1950s will include several hard-to-find Brass Era visible gas pumps, including a distinctive 1928 Standard Oil Gold Crown Gasoline restored Wayne model #515 example. A 1931 Richfield Oil Butler #30 restored 10-gallon visible pump is another incredible souvenir from the Brass Era. Also highlighting the automobilia offering is a 1930s Polly Oil Fuel Island restored by McLaren Classic Restorations, which includes a 1933-37 Tokheim 870 clock-face gas pump, vintage trash can, Eco Air meter and gas station attendant.

“Automobilia pieces have become an integral part of the collector car hobby,” said Rory Brinkman, Automobilia Director at Barrett-Jackson. “Each automobilia item we sell is a genuine, authentic piece of history from our deeply rooted automotive culture. We’re excited that our Palm Beach Auction will even include three 1970s Honda mini-bikes, which have become a growing segment of automotive-related collectibles.”

The three beautifully restored 1970s-era Honda mini-bikes being offered at No Reserve include a 1970 Candy Sapphire Blue Honda CT70 KO and, a concours-restored 1971 Candy Sapphire Blue and white Honda Z50 K2. The third Honda mini-bike crossing the block is an original 1970 Candy Apple Red Honda CT70 that has been completely redone.
