CARLISLE, PA – Car season is approaching fast and Carlisle Events is ready to roar back to life as Spring Carlisle returns to the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds April 22–26, with its partner event, the Spring Carlisle Collector Car Auction, taking center stage April 23–24 at the neighboring Carlisle Expo Center. Together, the events offer enthusiasts the opportunity to buy, sell, and celebrate decades of automotive excellence — from pre-war classics to modern muscle and everything in between.

Powered by Carlisle Auctions FREE UNLESS SOLD guarantee, 400+ consignments are anticipated for the two-day auction, showcasing vehicles that span generations and price points. Whether you’re seeking a meticulously restored showpiece, a weekend cruiser, or your next investment focused collectible, the Spring auction provides an accessible and exciting option for all that and then some!

One returning highlight is the All-Truck Hour, scheduled for approximately 3:30 PM on Thursday, April 23. This specialty hour celebrates trucks, Jeeps, and SUVs of all eras and returns by popular demand to the auction schedule. From vintage pickups to lifted late-model haulers, the All-Truck Hour brings a focused energy to the block and offers buyers a dedicated window to secure their next four-wheeled workhorse or show-ready rig.

Beyond the vehicles themselves, the 2026 Spring Carlisle Collector Car Auction proudly shines a spotlight on charitable initiatives that reflect the heart of the automotive community.

SUN Technical Institute of New Berlin, Pennsylvania, returns to the auction in a unique and hands-on way. Students have custom-built wheelbarrow go-karts that will cross the block, with 100% of the sale benefiting their educational programs. In addition, SUN Tech students have prepared and refurbished a 1951 Dodge for auction. That Dodge, originally donated by the AACA Museum, Inc. – America’s Transportation Museum, will see 100% of its sale dollars benefit Carlisle Auctions’ Fund the Firehouse program and the New Berlin Fire Company.

Speaking of Fund the Firehouse, Carlisle Auctions announced that the Ickesburg Fire Company in neighboring Perry County has received the donation of a 2008 GMC Envoy. When it crosses the auction block in April, 100% of its sale proceeds will directly benefit them. These charity consignments represent more than just vehicles — they represent opportunity, education, and community support.

The Spring 2026 Collector Car Auction begins at 10 AM daily, with preview hours starting at 8 AM on April 22 and continuing through the conclusion of the event. Advanced and online bidding opens April 20, and every registered bidder is eligible to bring a guest to the auction and attend Spring Carlisle as well. Finally, there are THREE great ways to bid; in person, on the phone, or online.

Spectator admission is $13 at the door, discounted if purchased online. Consignments are being added daily, and complete details are available at CarlisleAuctions.com. For auction information or to consign, call 717-960-6400. Get involved today and don’t miss your chance to own your first — or next — classic with Carlisle Auctions this April.

Carlisle, PA – Internationally renowned Corvette enthusiast Chip Miller helped establish Carlisle Events as a premier automotive destination when it launched in 1974, later creating the iconic Corvettes at Carlisle event in 1982. Sadly, just 22 years later, Chip lost his life to a rare disease known as Amyloidosis. Since his passing in March 2004, the Chip Miller Amyloidosis Foundation (CMAF) has worked tirelessly to raise awareness and funding in pursuit of a cure. Through community events, charitable contributions, and online sweepstakes, the CMAF has donated thousands to support individuals affected by the disease as well as organizations dedicated to Amyloidosis research and treatment.

The CMAF has done so much for so many, and for 2026, announced the return of the Chip Miller Memorial Scholarship. This opportunity is designed to support the next generation of automotive enthusiasts who share Chip’s love for all things automotive.

The scholarship is open to any high school, undergraduate, graduate, or trade school student pursuing a career in the automotive field. In short, the CMAF wants to give back and support someone who embodies Miller himself. There were nine winners in 2025 and this time around, it’s anticipated that more than $10,000 in monies will be available by award day on June 1, 2026. With $1,000 per winner being offered, this means at least 10 winners will be selected, though more are possible as donations come in between now and the April 30 deadline.

While Chip’s time was cut short, the impact of his passion lives on. He helped build some of the world’s premier automotive gatherings—events that continue to draw families and enthusiasts to Carlisle, Pennsylvania year after year. Carlisle’s place as a must-visit destination for car lovers can be traced directly to what Chip helped create and to this day, continues to foster friendships, memories, and a sense of community that truly defines his legacy.

“My dad was the definition of a gearhead—constantly tuning, tweaking, and chasing that extra bit of speed on the quarter mile,” said Lance Miller, CMAF President and Chip’s son. “He had a huge heart and was always the first to step in and help someone, especially kids. Knowing that this scholarship is inspiring and supporting students more than 20 years after his passing brings tremendous pride to my family and everyone involved with the foundation.”

The application process for the second-annual Chip Miller Memorial Scholarship award is NOW OPEN, with a submission deadline of April 30, 2026. There will be multiple award winners, with each receiving $1,000 as part of the June 1, 2026 announcement. Criteria include ambition, drive, and passion for the automotive hobby. To apply, candidates can submit their stories/applications to the CMAF by way of ChipMiller.org. In the meantime, to learn more or donate to the scholarship fund, visit ChipMiller.org and/or e-mail Jodi Morrison at JodiM@CarlisleEvents.com.

Carlisle, PA – The Carlisle Chrysler Nationals car show has been a summer tradition in Carlisle since 1991. Meanwhile, the Downtown Carlisle Association (DCA) has supported community car parades since that same year. As part of this year’s Chrysler Nationals showcase (July 11–13) at the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds, two longtime staples are coming together for the first time ever.

Carlisle Events, in partnership with the DCA, announced that on Saturday, July 12, show cars will cruise into downtown Carlisle for the inaugural Chrysler Parade. In addition to the DCA, the parade is being supported by the Walter P. Chrysler Club, whose members will be attending in droves to celebrate their namesake brand. Chrysler is marking 100 years with a grand display of cars, memorabilia, non-automotive machines (including a Sherman tank), and special guests—most notably Frank Rhodes, great-grandson of Walter P. Chrysler himself.

The parade kicks off at 7 PM, departing from the Carlisle Expo Center. The route will follow a format similar to other DCA events: cars will cruise along North Pitt Street to the intersection of Pitt and West High Street, turn left onto High Street, travel through the town square, and continue on to East High and Bedford Street. At that point—in true parade form and unlike the DCA’s “Park and Party” events in June and August—the parade will disperse. While vehicles won’t park downtown, it’s still a great opportunity for Chrysler guests to enjoy Carlisle’s restaurants, shops, and local attractions.

“I get asked all the time when the Chrysler show is going to get a parade,” said event manager Ed Buczeskie. “I can finally answer with, ‘Now!’ This has been a long time coming, and this is finally our year,” continued Buczeskie. “I’m excited to give the Chrysler enthusiasts what they’ve been asking for, and to give the community something new—a taste of the largest Chrysler event in the world.”

Parade and Showfield registration is available online through Monday, July 7, and again in person starting July 10. The parade has an additional $15 registration fee, and anyone already signed up for the Showfield can call the Carlisle Events office at 717-243-7855 to add the parade to their existing registration.

Finally, full event details and discounted spectator admission tickets are available online at CarlisleEvents.com. Gates open at 7 AM daily, kids 12 and under are admitted free, and student and military discounts are available for in-person purchases by the ID holder only.

CARLISLE, PA – In 2025, it’s hard to believe there are still “firsts” happening for women—especially in motorsports—but that’s exactly what’s taking place on June 22 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, during the 103rd running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. While Tracy Gaudu isn’t the first woman to race to the 15,000+ foot summit, she will be the first to do it in a Corvette—specifically, her 2008 Z06. Even better? Two months after she reaches the summit, she and her Corvette will be on display at Corvettes at Carlisle (August 21–23) within the Racer’s Reunion tent.

Tracy Gaudu Carlsile Events

Tracy Gaudu is more than just a Corvette owner or enthusiast—she’s a competitor. A true one-woman team, she’s the owner, driver, and financial backer behind her racing efforts. Since she began racing in 2008, Tracy has earned numerous accolades, including:

2008 NCCC National Champion

Three-time NASA Southeast Champion: TT1 (2019/2020), TTU (2021)

2023 Car Chix Woman in Motorsport

2023 SCAA Appalachian Hillclimb Series Modified Unlimited Champion

Now, in 2025, she’ll add “first woman to drive a Corvette at Pikes Peak” to her already impressive résumé.

But that’s not all—Tracy is also a United States Air Force veteran and currently serves as a vascular surgery and trauma physician assistant near her hometown of Johnson City, Tennessee. After all, not all superheroes wear capes!

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1200" height="798" src="https://www.oldcarsweekly.com/uploads/2025/06/Tracy-Gaudu-Corvette.jpg" alt="Tracy Gaudu and.
“I’ve always loved the Corvette,” said Tracy. “Ever since I was a little girl, I wanted one, but never thought I could afford one. Finally, I got my first; a 2005 C6. It was amazing,” added Tracy. “I joined the Longhorn Corvette Club in Austin, Texas and attended their events, took part in autocross, and had such a great time participating and competing with that club and the rest of the Southwest Region of the National Council of Corvette Clubs. At one point, I made the best mistake ever, I looked around in the showroom of a local dealership and that’s where I found my current love; a 2008 Z06,” added Tracy. “I do this all myself typically, but I’ll be competing at Pikes Peak with the help of some amazing friends. To be the first woman ever to drive Pikes Peak in a Corvette is historic and I’m honored. I can’t believe I’m the one making this kind of history,” concluded Tracy.

Follow her journey in Colorado at the official Pikes Peak Hill Climb website, then meet her in Carlisle, snap a photo, and see her Atomic Orange Z06 up close—complete with a Lingenfelter LS7 427 Eliminator Spec R motor (650 max HP / 560 max torque). This is a moment of Corvette history you won’t want to miss! Best of all, this is her first-ever Corvettes at Carlisle. Given all that she’s accomplished, it should be a pretty cool experience to not just be at the show, but to be a part of the Racer’s Reunion tent.

CARLISLE, PA – There have been some historic Corvettes and Corvette dignitaries who have found their way to the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds as part of Corvettes at Carlisle. The father of the Corvette, Zora Duntov has graced the grounds, thousands of his Corvette creations have done the same over the years, but for 2025, his first-born, a 1953 C1 (Engineering Car #3950), has been confirmed for the show (August 21-23).

Each year, some 5,000 Corvettes attend Corvettes at Carlisle. These Corvettes span all eras and generations of production and come from across the country. Cars and car owners come from far and wide, but never before has one literally served as the springboard for an entire lineage of vehicles thereafter. This Corvette is considered to be the very first one to ever roll off the Corvette assembly line, but how did it find its way to Carlisle?

For decades, automotive historians believed the first two production 1953 Corvettes had been destroyed shortly after their manufacture, a narrative long accepted as fact. However, following a dedicated 20-year search by Corvette enthusiasts Corey Peterson and John Amgwert, this long-standing myth has been definitively shattered.

1953 C1 (Engineering Car #3950) will be at Corvettes at Carlisle August 21-23 Carlsile Events

Peterson and Amgwert began their investigation after identifying inconsistencies in the official historical record. Convinced that these early Corvettes may still exist, their research spanned over two decades and multiple states. In 2023, their perseverance culminated in a landmark discovery: a vehicle stored in an Oklahoma restoration shop, initially suspected to be the second Corvette ever built.

Subsequent meticulous research and documentation confirmed something even more extraordinary — the car in question was not the second, but in fact the very first production 1953 Corvette ever assembled. The find instantly rewrote Corvette history, offering new insights into the genesis of America’s iconic sports car.

“We always believed the cars were out there somewhere,” said Corey Peterson. “Confirming that we had located Corvette #3950, the very first production model, is beyond what we could have imagined. We are thrilled to share this incredible discovery with the Corvette community at Carlisle.”

1953 C1 (Engineering Car #3950) will be at Corvettes at Carlisle August 21-23 Carlisle Events

Throughout Corvettes at Carlisle weekend, attendees will have the rare opportunity to view the car up close. In addition, Peterson and Amgwert will be on hand to discuss the details of their discovery, offering presentations and Q&A sessions that chronicle their two-decade search and the research that led to this historic moment.

Don’t miss this unparalleled celebration of America’s Sports Car at Corvettes at Carlisle 2025! It’ll be centrally located for all to review; parked on the stage, adjacent to the Midway and grandstand. Gates open at 7 AM daily, kids 12 and under are free, plus students and military (with valid in person ID) are eligible for discounted admission too. Learn more about Corvettes at Carlisle and purchase discounted spectator admissions at CarlisleEvents.com.

CARLISLE, PA – At the 2025 Spring Carlisle Collector Car Auction Carlisle Auctions sold 50% of all available lots, tallying over $5 million in sales (including fees). Along the way, over $31,000 was raised for charity, and a 1963 Corvette became one of the top-three all-time sales for Carlisle Auctions.

For two days (April 24–25, 2025) 400+ lots were confirmed, including enough trucks to fill two themed hours (one each day). In addition, over 100 years of automotive history was on full display — starting with a pair of cars from 1916 and ending with a minibike from 2025. In between, there was literally something for everyone, and just about everyone at the event was able to find what they needed.

Beyond all the action on the block, the auction benefitted charity too. 2025 saw the debut of Fund the Firehouse, along with the Pedal Car Project. Each served two distinct purposes. For Fund the Firehouse, half a dozen donations came in from the Carlisle community, with 100% of the money raised going directly back to Carlisle Fire & Rescue to support their operational costs, including training and equipment. Following their consignments, and combined with donations from auction attendees, $17,500 was raised.

For the Pedal Car Project, SUN Area Technical Institute from New Berlin, PA saw their students’ hard work pay off, netting $13,900 for their automotive technology curriculum. The dollars came by way of pedal cars built, customized, and designed by student groups at the school. Not only did their builds fetch top dollar, but the students also experienced a VIP journey that spanned nearly seven months — from having their builds featured on YouTube, to being displayed at the AACA Museum, Inc. in Hershey, PA, and finally showcased and sold at the auction in Carlisle.

Carlisle Auctions hopes to continue its partnership with SUN Tech, while also working to grow, enhance, and expand the Fund the Firehouse program to include more donations, more first responder organizations, and more auction time dedicated to generating dollars for those who answer the call during times of need.

The top five (5) selling cars totaled nearly $600,180 with Thursday’s top seller being the ’65 Corvette and Friday’s highlight being the ’63 Corvette — now one of the top three all-time sellers for Carlisle Auctions. The top five (5) are as follows:

Top Five Sales:

1. 1963 Corvette – $257,500

2. 1969 Dodge Charger – $89,960

3. 1969 Camaro – $88,560

4. 1965 Corvette – $87,480

5. 1968 Ford Mustang GT – $76,680

[Click here for full results] – all totals include buyer’s premium

“The 2025 Spring Carlisle Collector Car Auction was a great way to start our PA-based auction schedule,” said Tony Cline, Director of Auction Operations. “The new start time of 10 AM was a real winner for all involved and it’s something we plan to continue moving forward,” added Cline. “Our team looks forward to our upcoming Fall Carlisle Collector Car Auction, Thursday and Friday, October 2–3 at the Carlisle PA Expo Center. Call us at 717-960-6400 or visit CarlisleAuctions.com to learn more.”

Carlisle, PA – The annual Carlisle GM Nationals car show has seen a notable increase in interest from attendees who flock to Carlisle each summer. Vendors, show car owners, and spectators alike have taken notice of the event’s growth, with many saving the date months in advance for the June 20–21, 2025, showcase. There are several reasons for this enthusiasm, including two standout special displays and four unique “shows within the show” planned on the National Parts Depot Showfield.

As special displays go, 2025 highlights 70 Years of Tri-Fives, 55 Years of Monte Carlo, 40 Years of the IROC-Z. These milestones celebrate two iconic eras of automotive history, sparking increased interest in this year’s event. The Tri-Five, a legendary part of Chevrolet’s history spanning 1955–1957, includes the iconic One-Fifty, Two-Ten, Bel Air, and Nomad models, as well as lesser-known sub-models like the Delray coupe and the Handyman, Townsman, and Beauville wagons. This tribute will feature a variety of activities, including a Tri-Five parade, seminars, and vendors.

Meanwhile, the IROC-Z celebrates four decades of dominating the pony car market. Two distinct displays will honor this model: one in Building T, showcasing primarily stock, rare, and historic examples, and another under a nearby tent as part of the Third-Generation Camaro and Firebird Nationals show within the show. The latter will spotlight modified and custom IROC-Zs. Attendees can also look forward to special guest speakers, engaging seminars, and more.

For the Monte Carlo lovers trekking to Carlisle, expect to see some great examples of builds between its original run from 1970-1988, then again from 1995-2007. This includes showcasing some of the ways its production left a mark, including aerodynamic advances, stock car racing, and more. The Monte Carlo 55th will be supported by relevant car clubs and activities too.

CARLISLE, PA – One of the best parts of a Carlisle Auctions event is that, at least once per offering, a sale takes place to benefit charity. For those attending the Lakeland Winter Collector Car Auction, Saturday, February 8, will once again highlight the generosity of the collector car community.

The auction spans two days, February 7-8, at the SUN ‘n FUN Expo Campus in Lakeland, but the charity portion of the event takes place just after 10:30 AM on the 8th. At that time, Carlisle Auctions will yield the floor to Steve Muschlitz and Wheels from the Heart. Steve has secured a quartet of lots that will run consecutively, with 100% of the sales and any additional donations benefiting Wheels from the Heart. These lots include a pair of 2003 Mercedes-Benz SL500s, a 1946 Ford Sedan, and a 2007 Cadillac DTS.

Wheels from the Heart is a Delray Beach, Florida-based organization with a mission to provide reliable vehicles to single mothers with children, helping them drive toward a better life. While the name is a play on words, the impact is real. Owning a dependable car improves nearly every aspect of life, from grocery shopping and commuting to work to attending social activities, school drop-offs, and more. Since being nominated in 2016 for the Men with Caring Hearts Award, Steve and his team have donated nearly 200 cars in the past 10 years to moms in need.

“I’m excited to once again work with Carlisle Auctions at their upcoming event in Lakeland,” said Muschlitz. “They put on a great event, and their bidder and buyer base has always been generous when we offer a lot for charity. Of course, these sales wouldn’t be possible without the gracious donations from their previous owners. Together, we can all change the lives of those in need.”

Images and details of each charity consignment are available at CarlisleAuctions.com. Each car will be sold at no reserve, meaning they will sell. Better yet, they’ll be available for preview by hopeful bidders starting Friday, February 7, near the main auction arena. Muschlitz will also be at the venue to further promote the mission of Wheels from the Heart. Donations will be accepted throughout the auction.

CARLISLE, PA – How do you engage the next generation of automotive enthusiasts in the car hobby? This question has been asked for decades. A simple answer: give them tools and let them create. For select students in the SUN Technical Institute (New Berlin, PA) Collision Repair Technology, this means an opportunity to design, build, and ultimately raise money for their school and program.

Since late 2024, SUN students have been transforming pedal cars into works of art. Their goal: build, display, and auction them at the Spring Carlisle Collector Car Auction, April 24–25, at the Carlisle Expo Center. Seven teams of two collaborated to craft these masterpieces. Four teams designed 1955 Chevys, and three created Ford Roadsters. While the cars started as basic kits, each team developed unique concepts, executed bodywork, prepared and painted the cars, and delivered unique presentations ahead of the auction.

This experience extends beyond the classroom. Once completed, the cars will be prominently displayed at the AACA Museum, Inc., in Hershey for two months before moving to the Carlisle event. The museum will host the students and their creations starting in late February.

During the Spring Carlisle event, held April 23–27 at the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds, the pedal cars will take center stage at the auction. Proceeds from the sales will be donated to SUN Technical Institute’s automotive program, courtesy of Carlisle Auctions.

In addition to the auction, SUN students and their instructor, John Reeder, will explore the automotive flea market at the fairgrounds, which hosts 8,100 vendor spaces filled with millions of car parts and collectibles. The immersive experience draws nearly 100,000 automotive enthusiasts from around the world.

The journey has been documented by Carlisle Events and Carlisle Auctions on social media through photos and videos. The Carlisle team also visited SUN Technical Institute to capture the students’ progress firsthand.

“One of our team’s priorities is keeping the car hobby alive for future generations,” said Tony Cline, Director of Auction Operations. “This means investing in youth and sharing our passion with them. When Mr. Reeder proposed his idea, we were thrilled to support it. Our newest team member, Jason Ramey, spearheaded this partnership with Mr. Reeder. What began as a small initiative has grown significantly, involving students beyond Mr. Reeder’s class. We couldn’t be more proud and hope this experience creates lasting memories for the students,” added Cline.

Collision Repair Technology Instructor John Reeder expressed his gratitude: “The students and I are thrilled to partner with Carlisle Auctions on this fundraising project. I reached out with a small idea, and their team has taken it to a whole new level. In fact, it’s been so popular at the school that students from outside of my collision repair class have been able to participate and support us too. We’re excited about the direction this project is heading.”

The Triump TR7 will be celebrated at the 2025 Carlisle Import & Performance Nationals in Carlisle, PA May 16-17 Carlisle Events

Carlisle, PA – Since 1986, the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds have offered some international flair to automotive enthusiasts by way of the annual import car show. The event has evolved over the years and today’s iteration, known as the Carlisle Import & Performance Nationals, returns for its 40th offering May 16-17. In doing so, the grounds will once again highlight some of the best rides from around the globe, both on the Showfield and by way of Featured Vehicle displays.

When the gates open on Friday, May 16, guests will roll in to enjoy nearly 2,000 show cars and trucks from around the world. There are at least eight different countries showcased, with England being one of them.

The TR7 was Triumph’s last TR car with its production lineage dating back to 1975. Fast forward to May and the plan is to celebrate the famous wedge design. We are looking for several examples to display indoors at the show. This is open to all variants of the TR7 and of course, the TR8. In addition to the cars on display, there’s a goal of amassing a gallery of TR7/TR8 memorabilia and/or collectibles to showcase too.

This display will be one of many, as car clubs take center stage to highlight what drives their passion. This includes a massive display from the SAAB Club, Volvo Club, Porsche Club, Opel Club, BMW Club and more. In addition, there will be a general featured vehicle display that will no doubt include at least one super car. It’s a guarantee that guests will see something they’ve never seen before, either on grounds or within a display.

Another great display to check out can be found just east of Building T. That’s where the race-prepared vehicles call home. The race paddock is reserved exclusively for vehicles that are set up for racing. This includes road racers, autocross cars, drag racing, rally cars, and more.

Speaking of race cars, more so cars with their wheels in motion, the Carlisle Import & Performance Nationals also hosts a variety of track-tivities. This includes drifting and autocross powered by NICOClub, a rolling burnout contest, and drift limbo. In addition, there are on-grounds parades, low car limbo, and even a rolling exhaust contest. Best of all, these activities and displays all happen with the backdrop of car clubs, automotive flea market vendors, a great concessions area, and over 20,000 guests.

A complementary component of the event is the 3rd annual Brew Mixer. This will be held on Saturday of the event weekend and takes place directly across from the Food Court, making for one-stop shopping for food, beverage and live music. The Brew Mixer will host a variety of central Pennsylvania breweries offering their own unique beverage options. All of this is enhanced by local bands playing everything from covers to original songs. Access to the Brew Mixer is included with admission to the show.

Gates open at 7 AM each day and kids 12 and under are admitted FREE. Complete details about the 2025 Carlisle Import & Performance Nationals, including information on how to become a vendor, register for the Showfield, apply for display consideration, or simply purchase discounted spectator admission tickets can be found at CarlisleEvents.com or by calling 717-243-7855.
